A very wet and windy week is coming up across the British Isles as autumn blasts onto the scene, but will it remain unsettled for the rest of the month? Join Meteorologist Fred Best for this week's Weatherquest Farming Forecast podcast to find out more.

After milder and drier conditions for many places over the last few weeks, a band of squally rain spreading eastwards across the British Isles on Sunday/Monday kicked off a more unsettled and fresher-feeling weather pattern, with further rain forecast for most of the rest of the week.

Heavy showers brought up to 80 mm of rain to parts of East Anglia on Sunday, resulting in above average rainfall for the month so far, but elsewhere much of Britain has had a drier than average September. Dry conditions over the last three weeks had begun to have an impact, but rain on Tuesday the 14th has made up for much of the deficit.
