Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot!

Today we're talking about being a prisoner of hope and trusting that God can restore what has been lost. In Zechariah 9:12, God calls His people to return to the stronghold as prisoners of hope and promises to restore double to them. No matter what your past looks like or what you've been through, God still has promises for your future!

Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot look at the story of Rahab in Joshua 2 and how she placed a scarlet cord in her window as a sign of hope and a promise of protection. Rahab had a difficult past, but her past did not prevent her from being part of God's plan. Her story reminds us that God's promises are not based on our perfection, but on our faith in Him.

Sometimes the enemy tries to convince us that we've made too many mistakes, that we're not worthy of God's goodness, or that our past has disqualified us from His promises. But the good news of the gospel is that Jesus has already done what we could never do for ourselves. We don't earn God's grace by being good enough. We put our faith in Jesus and trust in what He has done for us.

So what does it mean to be a prisoner of hope? It means holding on to God's Word even when your circumstances look different from what He promised. It means choosing to believe that restoration is possible, that your story isn't over, and that God can bring something beautiful out of your past.

Today, put your hope in the promises of God. Let your response be, “Let it be as You have said.” You don't have to live trapped by yesterday when you can trust God with your tomorrow!

Today we're celebrating Honor Monday and talking about the power of honoring the people around us. In Genesis 45:13, Joseph tells his brothers to share with their father all the honor he has received in Egypt. Joseph's journey reminds us that even when life gets difficult, God can still be working behind the scenes to position us for something greater.

Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot explain that honor means lifting people up, recognizing their value, and bringing attention to the good in them. The world's way is often to tear others down so we can feel better about ourselves. But God's way is different! When we encourage people, celebrate their strengths, and speak life into their relationships, we create an atmosphere where people can grow and thrive.

Think about your spouse, your coworkers, your friends, or the people you see every day. It's easy to notice the things that annoy us or the qualities we wish were different. But what if we intentionally looked for the things we admire instead? What if we actually told people what we appreciate about them instead of keeping those thoughts to ourselves?

You have the opportunity to make someone feel valued today. A simple compliment, an encouraging word, or a public post recognizing someone's good qualities can make a bigger difference than you realize.

So here's your challenge: choose a few people today and tell them something you genuinely admire about them. Let's make #HonorMonday a movement that encourages people, strengthens relationships, and reminds others of the good God has placed within them.

Don't tear people down to build yourself up. Lift others up, and bring honor wherever you go!

Today we're talking about living a life without regret and learning to recognize the opportunities God brings into our lives every single day. Sometimes the biggest opportunities aren't huge, life-changing moments. They're the little things—a smile, helping someone at work, spending time with your children, or investing in your marriage.

Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot share a powerful reminder that we can get so focused on our schedules, our responsibilities, and the things we need to accomplish that we miss the moments that matter most. We often look back and say, “I wish I would have,” but what if we started living in a way that allows us to say, “I'm glad I did!”

They also look at Paul and Barnabas in Acts 15 and how a sharp disagreement caused them to separate. Disagreements happen, even between people who love God and are working toward the same purpose. But don't let offense steal the opportunities God has ahead of you. You don't have to let every disagreement divide a relationship or keep you from moving forward.

The enemy would love to use hurt feelings, anger, and unforgiveness to pull you away from the people and purposes God has for your life. Instead, choose to love people through their imperfections, overlook offenses when you can, and refuse to let someone else's words determine your future.

You can't change yesterday, but you can choose how you live today. Start looking for opportunities to love, encourage, forgive, and invest in the people around you. Make the phone call, spend the extra time with your family, and take the opportunity to do something good when God puts it in front of you.

Don't spend your life wishing you had done things differently. Start today, and make choices you'll be thankful for tomorrow!

Today we're talking about where we put our hope and how what we fill our minds with affects the way we live. In Psalm 37:9, we're reminded that those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. Hope is more than wishing things will get better—it's an expectation rooted in God's promises!

Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot talk about how easy it is to start our day by filling our minds with negative news, division, fear, and everything going wrong in the world. But what we put into our hearts and minds eventually comes out in our attitudes, our words, and our relationships. If you fill yourself with negativity, you'll begin to see negativity everywhere. But when you fill yourself with God's Word, faith, and hope, it changes how you approach your day.

Instead of letting the news and social media stir up anger or division, we can choose a different response. When we see troubling things happening in the world, we don't have to live in fear—we can let those things move us to pray. God has given us the opportunity to be people who bring hope, love, and encouragement wherever we go.

So what are you going to fill your mind with today? God's promises remind us that this is the day the Lord has made, that we are blessed when we go in and when we go out, and that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Don't let the negativity around you steal the hope God has placed within you!

Be the voice that brings people together. Be the person who encourages others. And when you see something troubling, let it inspire you to pray instead of worry.

Put your hope in the Lord, fill yourself with His promises, and start your day expecting God's goodness!
