  • Bonus Episode: Mirrorball Movie Cowboys S2 E4: Can't Stop the Music (1980)
    Jan 16 2026

Season 2 of Mirrorball Movie Cowboys concludes with a very special episode. In fact, it's an episode 15 years in the making. Stu, from the Midnight Movie Cowboys podcast adores Can't Stop the Music (1980), and has always wanted to do an episode on it. It may have seemed like a pipe dream because the other 2 members of the MMC, Hunter and John, were reluctant to say the least. Well the stars aligned and it finally happened. Not only that, we were fortunate enough to be invited on for a jam-packed "megasode". To be honest this is more of a MMC episode than anything, but it falls under the Mirrorball Movie Cowboys umbrella. Can't Stop the Music is a semi-autobiographical musical about The Village People. It co-stars Steve Guttenberg, Valerie Perine, and one very famous Olympic Athlete. Enjoy!!

Mulder and Stu (from the wonderful Midnight Movie Cowboys) podcast are both massive fans of everything Disco. So back in 2022 they decided to make an offshoot series of episodes focusing on Disco films and the soundtracks within them. Season 1 consisted of 3 episodes focusing on Boogie Nights (1997), The Last Days of Disco (1998) and 54 (1998) respectively and were re-released over the past 8 months. Season 2 consists of 4 episodes. The first episode of this new season saw us cover Thank God It's Friday (1978). On Episode 2 we covered Roller Boogie (1979). Episode 3 was technically already released as WTM Ep. 343: Skatetown U.S.A. (1979). This episode concludes Season 2 but we shall return sooner rather than later with Season 3!

Be sure to check out the incredible Midnight Movie Cowboys podcast! They've been around 15 years so there's plenty of episodes for you to comb through. These Mirrorball Movie Cowboys episodes will also be posted on their feed as well.

  • WTM Ep. 350: Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) With Stan Switek!
    Nov 20 2025

At long last we wrap up our focus on horror remakes with the 1978 classic, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Stan Switek is back to help us break it all down and to differentiate between human and pod person. The usual tangents ensue, and in fact there was a pretty decent one that lasted longer than 10 minutes at the onset, so to appease all the folks that would wish we would stay more on topic, I cut it and pasted it to the end of the episode. So if you stick around after the outro and Out-Of-Context clip there's another dozen minutes or so of mind(ful)less banter for your enjoyment. We'll be back next week with Hunter Deusing of the Midnight Movie Cowboys to discuss a new Holiday Horror classic, Thanksgiving (2023).
