We're talking about the victims' rights movement — an incredibly powerful political movement that combined both feminist and right-wing political forces and resulted in the passage of thousands of laws and arguably the massive expansion of our criminal justice system. And the catch — most people have never heard of it. To help tell this story, and what happened next, host Jessica Washington is joined by Sam Washington, a 20th century History doctoral candidate at Brown University who spent years researching alternatives to polling and incarceration and also happens to be one of Jessica's favorite siblings.
