  • Unshadowed Thought was created to bring to the table, conversations that really matter. Topics and ideas that have big impacts on our lives that are often not spoken about, or are not spoken about thoroughly enough to enable people to make healthy decisions. The podcast will discuss medical harms and how we handle them individually and as a community. The host was injured by Transcranial Magnetic stimulation(TMS or rTMS). It will also cover how we can try and heal from those harms when we are often left untrusting of the institutions that harmed us in the first place.

  • Ep 25 - Working Past It - What to eat and when not to
    Apr 30 2024

In this episode I discuss what I have learned about eating when you are trying to recover from a chronic neurological injury like TMS injury, ECT, Psychiatric drugs, CFS and others. We spend every day eating which makes understanding what we eat and how we eat an essential aspect of our improvement. I discuss how to decide what to eat when eating with some basic simple principles that I have found far more effective and powerful than all the specificity of diets out there. Then I move on to discuss different aspects and methods of fasting and some of what should be considered. Finally I discuss in short but decisive measure that we must change the way we think about food for these methods to be effective. Fasting has been shown to shorten and eliminate withdrawal syndromes.Prolonged water fasting is not recommended if you are on most medications. It may be quite effective to withdraw from a drug and then fast after to eliminate the impact of any withdrawal syndromes. There is not much literature available on this method.

  • Ep 24 - Working Past It Series - Prologue
    Apr 25 2024

In this episode I am introducing a comprehensive series on how to go about healing from Psychiatric injury including TMS harms, Psychiatric Drug withdrawal, and other chronic illnesses, dysregulation, dysfunction or agitation of the human nervous system. It covers the fundamental functions of human beings and how they can be leveraged to recover from neurological injury/dysregulation, which are:Eating/foodWhat we do/ActivityWhat we think/MindTalking through these aspects are vital because as we deal with having neurological problems we cannot escape them, they are experienced in everything we do, when and what we eat, how we move around and they change based on what we think as all these things are intertwined and at the end of the day they really cannot be separated but we will do it here for the sake of conversation and understanding. In this way it is imperative we set up an approach to handle these things at all times, which gives us the ability to always be working towards a positive change and recovery.

  • Ep 23 Fasting as emotional exercise
    Jan 19 2024

On this podcast I discuss the experience I had with the authenticity of emotion and emotional stimulation on my most recent fast. To me it appeared that fasting exercised and facilitated a healthy balance of emotions that were experienced after the fast(when there were none before the first fast), which is a huge complaint among those of us with psychiatric injury.

If fasting can gift back emotions that were previous lost how valuable would it be?
