We spend most of the year teaching our kids not to talk to strangers or open the door to people they don’t know.

But on Halloween, everything changes. We turn on our porch lights, open our doors wide, and welcome whoever knocks — offering gifts to anyone who asks.

Don’t confuse playing small with being holy, and don’t confuse wealth with worth.
