Every belief system has its share of bad apples. I happened to grow up in a particularly toxic one. Spiritual abuse and toxic Christianity don’t seem to be discussed that much and I can’t help but wonder why not.
I can only speak from my personal experience though I know I’m not the only one who has been deeply hurt by the church. The problem is that, after rejecting the religion I was raised in, I felt incomplete without any belief system at all.
This episode starts the discussion on what to do with that void and why the belief system you choose for yourself matters so much.
This podcast is part of the experiment. I’m doing it live, learning as I go. Action is the only way to grow.
