  • Ep58 - Halloween
    Oct 31 2021

For our final episode and our Halloween Spooktacular we watched a movie so nice they made it thrice. This week we watched Halloween(1978), Halloween(2007), and Halloween(2018). We take a stroll down memory lane and pick our favourite movies from past episodes, we give an update on Kreuger the Kittens shenanigans, and in typical THaTH fashion we shoehorn in a socialist rant.

Thanks so much for listening to this horror movie podcast about love and as we say at the end of every episode: Its been a slice!

    Love you. Bye!

  • Ep.57 - Trick ‘R Treat
    Oct 17 2021

This week we treat ourselves to this a Halloween classic, the 2007 horror anthology about a small town that takes the holiday a little too seriously. We watched Trick 'R' Treat. We take a stroll down memory lane to discuss our least favourite movies from past episodes. We fawn over the most adorable holiday-murder mascot since the Easter bunny was resurrected as a zombie. And we ask the important Halloween questions: are you in it for the candy or the costumes?

  • Ep -Hocus Pocus (1993)
    Oct 3 2021

Come little children, I’ll take thee away…..that’s right, this week we went a bit rogue and watched Hocus Pocus, and boy did it hold up. This movie is still great!

Join us as we (poorly) attempt to turn off our cynical adult brains in order to enjoy a childhood classic. This episode comes with some solid book recommendations, a dash of nostalgia, and some dark musings about what exactly Binx the sentient cat gets up to in the 364 days of the year he isn’t guarding a dilapidated shack.

Come enjoy spooky season with us as we wind down to the end of our show later this month. Love you! Bye!

  • Ep.55 - Candyman(2021)
    Sep 19 2021

This week we watched the remake / sequel (requel?) Candyman(2021), a horror classic that Cassy and Gerad know nothing about. Will they ever learn what the bees are all about or why a baby got taken 30 years ago? Also turkey legs are the bomb, Cassy hosts a quick concussion clinic and Gerad just cannot handle Shadow and Bone.

  • Ep.54 - Army of the Dead (2021)
    Sep 5 2021

This week we watch Netflix's zombie heist movie Army of the Dead. We make a big announcement, Gerad discusses his hypothesis on 'sound memes', and Cassy shares a story of the cats organizing to rebel against us. Also included: us dunking on Zack Snyder, our fondness for a sexually charged bromance, and our list of the sci-fi aliens Dave Bautista most resembles.

  • Ep 53 - The Birds (1963)
    Aug 22 2021

Turns out its not just Canadian Geese we have to fear. This week we watched Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963) and it gave us a real craving for more vintage horror.  A great combo of practical and cutting edge (for the time) effects, stellar casting and a green suit that Cassy will be coveting for the rest of her life. Gerad really leads this one along as Cassy fights a migraine, and both hosts relish in the sex appeal incarnate that is Annie Hayworth.

  • Ep 52 - Little Monsters(2019)
    Aug 8 2021

This week we sink our teeth into the charming horror/comedy zombie romp (zombedy?) Little Monsters. Cassy is a little feverish. We answer the age old question: what's the worst kind of puppet? And we both rail against subpar men doing the bare minimum and being rewarded for it.

  • Ep 51 - The Blackcoat's Daughter
    Jul 25 2021

This week we watched The Blackcoat’s Daughter. A spooky, desolate all girl’s Catholic school. A frigid Canadian winter. Nuns insisting the snow be “shoveled to the earth,” for some reason known only to them and God. Sounds like the perfect setting for a demonic possession movie that features time jumps, lots of stabby good times, and an eerie atmosphere ripe with adolescent angst.

Kiernan Shipka unnerves us with her unhinged amusement. Emma Roberts proves that diner napkins are an excellent beauty tool, and we briefly reminisce about an awesome road trip and a sub-par landlord.

Thanks for listening! Hope you enjoy both the movie and our dialogue.
