Mental health is an increasing challenge for many of us globally. In the UK, the charity Mind acknowledges that 1.6M people are on the waiting list for mental health treatment with the NHS and it is estimated that 8M can't get on the list because they're not deemed unwell enough.


This podcast is hosted by Alex, a student trainee psychotherapist, who was part of the leadership team of TEDxBrighton for 6 years.

She talks with leading professionals across a range of skills to help us understand more about how to navigate our own mental health and the wellbeing of others.


Specifically to therapy, she aims to unpick what can often feel like a daunting exercise to understand what different types of therapy are, what to expect and how to know if it's working.


This is for people who are curious about their own mental health or may want to have better tools to understand people's mental wellbeing around them.

    Jiva has been practicing mindfulness since 1996. She teaches at the Mindfulness Project in London and Brighton - and has been supervising other teachers since 2014. She also works for Journey Live which is a US-based service which teaches mindfulness in 30-minute sessions to businesses.
