Richard trained La Landiere to win the Cathcart in 2003 and had the original idea for National Racehorse Week. Known for his mimicry, the interview is littered with impressions plus anecdotes of the many great figures of the sport he's encountered. Episode 6 is with retired trainer Pat Murphy. The handler of Supreme Glory & Shooting Light reflects on his life in horse racing. In his early days in Ireland he worked for legends Dermot Weld, PP Hogan & Pat Taaffe, before switching to the UK where he rode prior to joining the training ranks. In recent years he has been in poor health but was in flying form when Sir Bob came to visit and is outspoken as ever!
