Über diesen Titel
In Victorian England, death was everywhere. Epidemics were rife, working conditions were unbearable for the poor and child mortality was high. Victorian graveyards were literally full, overflowing even. There was a trade in the dead though. Body snatchers operated under the cover of darkness to feed the demand for corpses - science required these for medical advancements to happen. However, during these dark days, there was a greater horror. In the panic to bury the dead quickly, did anyone really check to see if the deceased were really dead...? Surely, our Victorian ancestors didn't bury people alive....?
