In Soberminded I break down one possibility as to why you may be struggling to hear the voice of God. Journey through Mark 5 as we take a psychological approach and view to the demon possessed man’s situation.

A reflection questions: Has your physiological make up caused you to create a fight or flight response to a good thing? Not just a good thing, but a God thing?

There is safety in Christ, not danger, so trust that when you accept him into your life as your Lord and savior, no matter what things look like in the physical, you are spiritually safe and sound. No reason to act or react in defense mode when Jesus knocks on the door to your heart.

DISCLAIMER: As a christian, you CANNOT be possessed by demons, you can be Oppressed, but not possessed. In Mark 5 the man is possessed, but I linked his situation to how we live life today in oppression. I hope that brings clarity to some of you guys.

LOL the devil thought he had me, oooooo what a run!!

Y’all I was a PK wondering if what my dad preached was even true, I went through so much pain that sabotaged years of my life. BUT GOD. I Thank God for freedom, Thank God for deliverance, peace, joy, and every good fruit that comes from the spirit. I pray that this touches you, moves you and I believe God can turn your life around for his glory!! In Mark 9 there’s a man with a son who’s demon possessed. He goes to Jesus for healing and Jesus asks the man if he believes. In verse 24 the father cries “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief” and that verse is so real to my testimony. So many times I cried asking God for a better life and I knew God was real, but I doubted my life and circumstances could change. I Thank God for the deep understanding of his love and will for my life which was the cure to my unbelief. He can do the same for you!
