Über diesen Titel

Fyodor Dostoevsky's character Prince Lev Nikolayevich Myshkin, the prime character in his text "The Idiot," is the somewhat tongue-in-cheek inspiration for the modification of this channel to be primarily and chiefly concerned with issues of beauty. "Beauty will save the world," was famously said in this text, and is, perhaps, far more true than we thought possible. I am David Jorgenson, I am a Christian, writer, and jack of many intellectual trades that have finally landed on an obsession with beauty, art, and the intersection with theology and speculative worlds.JD Wolfwrath Christentum Spiritualität

  • An Idiotic Approach to Beauty: Dostoevsky
    Dec 16 2024

Fyodor Dostoevsky is an overwhelming and excellent writer with a profound understanding of the human experience. On today's episode, I ponder the ramifications of beauty in his work "The Idiot." How should we as Christians approach (and not approach) the question of beauty? Or a beautiful person in our lives? What of the Beauty of Christ?

  • A Matter of Death and Life: Beautiful Play
    Dec 12 2024

Season 1 of this Podcast was a strange admixture of things. Season 2 will focus much more on the things of beauty, but I reserve the right to talk about anything.

This is a raw, relatively uncut musing on the nature of the hidden death in our society, on our disconnection from beauty and play, and what play really is in the context of some game studies. Enjoy!
