Über diesen Titel

The official broadcast of Steven T Badger and Phil Chunky collectively known as the Doghouse folkalypsomenco duo. After spending over a quarter of a century trying to make it big in the English folk and roots music, they inadvertently found themselves as curious, sometimes open mouthed observers of this stalwart of British eccentricity. As critical friends of the folk genre, they found more fame as journo's of the folk world. These are their 25 year reflections, current curiosities, the odd tune or two and of course, velcro.© 2024 The Hounds Rounds - A folkmag not a jazzmag Musik
  • The Hounds Rounds Episode 3
    Feb 21 2022

Badger and Chunky continue to navigate through the time period around the turn of the millennium. This issue makes liberal use of the censor "beep" as they learn to broadcast material for the 2022 audience. In this issue they are horrified to find out that they introduced some new material in 2000 and elated to revisit Fred the bluegrass banjo player and other characters of the day. They observe and marvel at dance styles that appear alongside the traditional English folk scene and play another song from their first album "She bangs the drum"

Badger and Chunky continue to try and remember things from the year 2000. In this episode the Sensitive New Age Cowpersons get a mention as does Tanglefoot beer from the Badger Brewery. The musical slot for this episode is filled with the Doghouse dance number "Tall Order". A studio version uncovered in the same fan made CD as last episode.

Badger and Chunky roll the clock back a quarter of a century and read some of their published works and play some recordings from their Duo past.
This week we find our erstwhile pair reading from their first issue of the Hounds Rounds that appeared in Folk on Tap, the official mag of the Southern Counties Folk Federation (SCOFF). They also hark back to their drunken exploits at The Earl of Southampton's Fair through the medium of pantomime.
