Many people admire Jesus but stop short of giving Him the throne of their lives. Instead, Paul makes clear that Jesus is supreme—Creator, Sustainer, Head of the Church, and the One who conquered death.
Christ does not take second place to anyone or anything. He is not simply an admired teacher or inspiring martyr but the eternal Son of God who must hold first place in our hearts and lives.
