Author Joseph Matheny ( www.josephmatheny.com ) joins the podcast to discuss his role in the "Ong's Hat" saga and how the story inspired movies such as The Blair Witch Project. In the late 80's Joseph started dropping off pamphlets in small bookstores and record stores. These pamphlets ( Incunabula.org )talked of rare books and alternate literature that when researched could lead to the discovery of knowledge that allowed a group of scientists in the tiny town of Ong's Hat, NJ to travel between alternate dimensions. Soon the story grew beyond Joseph's control and people started approaching him with their memories of being involved with the fictitious group of scientists. Eventually Joseph was forced to come out and explain how the story was a game and not based in any sort of truth. Enjoy this rare opportunity to hear Joseph's story and how it has affected his life up until today.
