  • Weighted Vests, Southwest Discriminates Against Fat People, The Personal Decision of Weight Loss Surgery
    Jan 4 2026

This week on The Diet Obsessed Podcast, I cover a variety of fascinating topics in my regular segments, including:

    • The health benefits of weighted vests.
    • Southwest Discriminates Against Fat People.
    • Scientific Skincare Routines.
    • Overinduging During The Holidays.

In this week's podcast review, I reviewed another episode of The Toast, when host Claudia Oshray interviewed Remi Bader about how she feels after her weight loss surgery and if her life is easier now than it was when she was in a larger body.

There are many important topics discussed in this EP, including: size inclusivity, social media judgement, doing what is right for your own personal journey.

  • Mommy Makeovers, Taking the Last Appetizer, Food Insecurity in America, Food Police & Morality Around SNAP Benefits
    Dec 28 2025

This week on The Diet Obsessed Podcast, I cover a variety of fascinating topics in my regular segments, including:

    • Betches founder gets a mommy makeover.
    • Is it rude to take the last meatball when appetizers are being passed around?
    • Healthy Habits & Tasty Treats of the week!

In this week's podcast review, I highlighted the timely topic of food insecurity in America, as discussed on the podcast Burnt Toast when host Virginia Sole-Smith invited Rachel Cahill, an anti-hunger policy advocate to discuss the recent pause in SNAP benefits.

This unprecedented occurrence of completely shutting down benefits for this program was devastating to families all across the US for the entire month of November, traumatizing vulnerable people who rely on this program, including children, disabled people and elderly people.

This discussion had me looking at my own internal judgements when it comes to mutual aid, the morality around giving, how food choices are often policed and so much more!

  • Is It Ok To Gift Anti-Aging Products, Thanksgiving Food Failures, The Intersection of Internalized Ageism & Fat Phobia
    Dec 7 2025

This week on The Diet Obsessed Podcast, I cover a variety of fascinating topics in my regular segments, including:

    • When abrupt change affects mental health.
    • Is it rude to gift other people anti-aging products?
    • When Thanksgiving food is VERY disappointing :(

In this week's podcast review, I highlighted the topic of the intersection of Internalized Ageism and how it intersects with Fat Phobia and Diet Culture, as discussed on the podcast Burnt Toast with host and author Virginia Sole-Smith.

Virginia invited guest Debra Benfield, RDN who is a registered dietician focused on the intersection of anti-ageism and body liberation. Her book Unapologetic Aging: How to Mend and Nourish Your Relationship with Your Body helps create a framework for nourishing the body in a way that honors body respect, prioritizes liberation and embraces the full spectrum of aging. This was a fascinating conversation and you won't want to miss this review, along with my personal takes!
