In today's episode I pull back the curtain on a very painful point in my life which ultimately has become a motivator for me to shed light on issues in the modern church in order to prevent the cycle of hurt from repeating itself.

Your story matters and could save someone else from having to endure the same struggle you have.

Today we are discussing a common trend in today's Christian culture. That is christian celebrities and our unchecked habits of idolizing our pastors. From our favorite worship albums to even our local pastors, we let these people have too much weight in our lives. While we can absolutely learn and glean wisdom from some of these people, we tend to put these individuals next to or sometimes above Jesus only to be hurt when we eventually we realize they are not.

In today's episode we will talk briefly about some root cause issues that lead to volunteer abuse at many churches. It is my hope that church & ministry leaders will pause and do so true reflection to see if there are any things they could do better to prevent the over use and abuse of volunteers.
