In this episode, I remember Father Paul Jerome, a Trappist monk of the Abbey of New Clairvaux in Vina, California, who was my mentor and confessor before his death.

This is not a biography, nor a disclosure of what was spoken in sacred spaces. It is a personal reflection on the quiet influence of a monk who taught me the power of listening, patience, and grace. Through silence, questions, and presence, Father Paul helped shape my spiritual life in ways that continue long after his passing.
