  • Whistle
    Feb 15 2026

Just when you thought we were gone… The Chronicle is back!

In Episode 55, Ros Tibbs makes her solo hosting debut with a review of Whistle, the chilling new horror starring Dafne Keen.

Inspired by M. R. James’ classic ghost story Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad, the film follows a misfit group of high school students who discover an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. But when they blow into the cursed object, the terrifying sound summons visions of their own future deaths — and something sinister begins hunting them down.

This shorter solo episode marks the start of some exciting changes for 2026. Alongside our traditional two-host format, we’ll also be bringing you quicker, focused reviews — covering everything from the latest horror releases to classic cinema favourites — meaning fewer long waits between episodes.

After a busy January for the team at The Peoples Movies, we’re back and ready to deliver more film discussion, reviews and deep dives.
