  • That One Inch Barrier - Episode #50 - You, the Living [Sweden, 2007]
    Jan 13 2026

There’s a whole world of cinema to be discovered, you just have to overcome that one inch barrier known as subtitles!

Join film critics Nick L’Barrow, Josh Barry and Kieran Griffiths as they recommend and review some of their favourites from international cinema.

They tried to cancel us, and, let's be honest, we tried to cancel ourselves, but despite everyone's best (and worst) efforts, we've somehow made it to the half-century milestone.

In Episode 50, Josh takes us back to Sweden for a film that is somehow even weirder than his previous pick, Border. Things are about to get very deadpan, very absurd, and very satirical, as we talk all things You, the Living, by acclaimed director Roy Andersson.
