  • Episode 48: Tennessee Baptist Children's Home
    Feb 24 2026

In Episode 49 of The Tennessee Golden Hour, Matt Tullos and Beth Moore sit down with two trusted leaders from the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes:
    Greg McCoy, President
    Kelly Campbell, Church Engagement Specialist

Together, they share powerful stories, urgent needs, and practical ways Tennessee Baptists can step into the foster care crisis across our state.

💙 What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
The current state of foster care in Tennessee (8,500–9,000 children in DCS custody)
Why Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes provides an extra layer of Christian support for foster families
How churches can partner through volunteering, giving, and wraparound care
The impact of the Mother’s Day Offering and the Cooperative Program
Inspiring real-life stories of adoption and transformation
A vision to double foster care capacity in the next five years
New campus construction projects designed to better serve children with dignity and safety.

    🏡 A Mission That Matters
With three residential campuses (Brentwood, Chattanooga, and Millington) and foster care services across the state, TBCH exists to serve children who find themselves in hard places — from homelessness and trauma to parental incarceration and crisis.

    Last year alone:
99 children were served in foster care
    18 adoptions were celebrated
Dozens of churches actively partnered in support
    But the need is growing.

    🙏 A Call to Action
Not everyone is called to foster or adopt — but everyone can do something.
    Could you provide meals?
    Offer tutoring?
    Quilt blankets?
    Support through giving?
Share the mission with your church?
As Greg shares, “It’s not about us — it’s about the kids.”
The episode closes with a heartfelt prayer for vulnerable children across Tennessee — that they would be protected, supported, and ultimately pointed to Jesus.

If you’re a Tennessee Baptist, this conversation is especially for you.
