Team Brief is the official podcast of the Academic Collaborative for Equality and Inclusivity in Surgery (ACEIS) UK

This maiden series is an ode to the International Women’s Day celebrations 2023. We remind ourselves of some of the progress made but we do not lose sight of the deficiencies and the devastating global impact of gender inequity

    About ACEIS UK:

The Collaborative consists of a group of cross-specialty surgeons and expert advisers with a single interest: to highlight the true extent of the challenges of equality, inclusivity and their associated impacts in the surgical profession by leveraging data. Our role is to identify and report data from the frontlines of the surgical working environment; to provide an opportunity for individualised stories to be shared; to present all data to the surgical community without the burden of political or other influences in a transparent manner; to develop change strategies suitable for adoption in the workplace; to apprise other professional bodies and organisations with coherent data that can inform appropriate policies and procedures to tackle these challenges; to highlight positive and negative aspects of systemic workplace issues
