Can psychedelics be used to treat mental health disorders in adolescents? The youth of today are using illegal drugs at record levels not only for recreational use, but many are turning to illicit drugs to self-medicate and try treat a wide range of mental health disorders with all the risks that go with these powerful substances. It’s time we relook the ‘war on drugs’ and sit down with the most vulnerable and have the difficult conversations and to see how we can support and help, especially our youth.

In parallel to this we ask what is the effect of having no or little rite of passage experiences during key transitional moments from youth to adulthood having on society?
