    A proud graduate of Birmingham City Schools, Dr. Tippett returned to her hometown to serve as a Program Specialist. In this role, she oversees several key initiatives, including the Teacher Engagement and Mentoring Program, the National Board Certified Teacher Candidate Support Program, and the Teacher of the Year Program. Her career spans a wide range of roles in education, including classroom teacher, curriculum specialist, instructional coach, and assistant principal.

    Dr. Tippett earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Samford University. Her dissertation, Teachers’ Self-Efficacy in Elementary Reading Literacy Urban Classrooms: Exploring Classroom Management, Instructional Strategies, and Student Engagement, reflects her deep commitment to supporting effective teaching practices in urban education settings.
