English Summary:
A merchant, having lost all his wealth, unknowingly promises his young son Heinel to a black dwarf in exchange for gold. Years later, Heinel is set adrift in a boat to avoid being taken by the dwarf, but a fairy saves him. He lands in an enchanted castle, breaks a princess’s curse, and becomes King of the Golden Mountain. Years later, he visits his father and breaks a promise to his queen. She punishes him by taking their son and returning alone. Heinel sets out on a journey, tricks three giants to gain magical items, returns in time to stop her wedding, and reclaims his throne.
