In this episode I was honoured to speak with Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, perhaps the greatest living english language scholar of Theravada Buddhism about his life and work. We discuss his monastic life, his time with Nyanoponika Thera, his creation of the Buddhist Global Relief Fund, and his public statements about the conflict in Gaza.

  • "Enlightenment Is Real" with Murray Feldman, pt. 1 of 3
    Sep 14 2025

The first part of a planned three part interview with my friend Murray Feldman who has spent decades sitting at the feet of sages in India. We discuss his life, the nature of reality and enlightenment, and the many teachers and fellow adventurers he crossed paths with, including Geshe Rabten, HH the Dalai Lama, Christopher Titmuss, Nisargadatta Maharaj, and others. In this episode we discuss Murray’s early years in India and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, his meeting with the Dalai Lama, his time living at Sri Ramanashram in Tiruvannamalai, the nature of “awakening” or “enlightenment” in Vedanta, and the practice of “self-abiding/self-inquiry” or atmavicara.
