Hey everyone! This week is part one of our introductions to the bands that are going to be apart of our upcoming compilation Underground Outlet Volume 2: Midwest Unrest! Four bands to introduce to you all with a combined 11 tracks to jam out to this week!

First is Hour/Glass from Wichita, Kansas. We featured the song "Memories" from their 2021 EP "Confessions". In addition, their newest single "Hand of God" will be on Midwest Unrest that released on 10/28/2022!

Next up is hardcore band Darkroom from Columbus, Ohio with three tracks off of their recently released self-titled album "Darkroom" that released on 11/18/2022! We played three tracks off the album. "Quiet", "Darkroom", and lastly "Nothing Holy" which will be the track that will be apart of Midwest Unrest!

Parthian, Progressive Death Metal from Wichita, Kansas joins them with 3 tracks off of their July 1st 2022 release "Desolation of a Ceaseless Dawn". We played 3 tracks off the album. "Cosmic Overture", "Illusions of Grandeur" & "Numinous". Numinous will be apart of Midwest Unrest!

Lastly we have Chicago Metalcore band Stolen Sun rounding out the episode with 3 tracks from their recent EP "The Fatality of Circumstance" that released on 10/21/2022. We played "Life Is Brutal on Mars", "The Hound" and "Cruel Joke"! Cruel Joke will be apart of Midwest Unrest!

It's been TWO LONG YEARS. TWO. We are back! Its crazy how much time can slip by if you're not paying attention to whats going on around you! In this episode I briefly talk about where I've been the last 2 years. All the various different treats and tribulations that life has thrown my way to deter my focus on the podcast.

In true "Outlet for the Underground" fashion we have 2 amazing bands to share with you all today!

First up is Stitched from Birmingham, England in the UK. We played a few tracks off of their new EP "Slumtracks". Super excited to have Stitched on the podcast. If you are a long time listener of the podcast you all know how much we LOVE the UK Hardcore/Metal scene. Honored to have another band representing that part of the world be apart of our first year back!

Joining them is the MIGHTY Immortal Possession from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada bringing their old school death metal roots to the podcast. Originally formed in 1989 they have re-recorded some of their best tracks that were originally written across 3 demos from the early/mid 1990s. That new album is called "The Resurrectionist" that released in December of 2022. We played a few tracks off that new album and these are tracks you don't want to miss. Old School Death Metal is one of our favorite sub-genres to discuss!
