Melanie's Story...
When I was young, I felt like an adult trapped in a
child’s body.
My life seemed entirely mistimed. I spent decades in suicide ideation
wanting to break up with time. Escape it.
The other kids in my neighborhood were not my age, and I
preferred the previous generation's music. My parents put strict
boundaries on my time. My choir instructor and swimming coaches shamed me. The fear of imperfection left me feeling as if time was never on my side.
It's no wonder that I devoted years to understanding the
vagus nerve—a vital link from the brainstem to the pelvis that influences our relationship with time and timing.
I liken the vagus nerve to the pendulum of our somatic clock. Stress and trauma diminish its function. Gratitude and pleasure enhance it.
Research shows that optimal vagus nerve function leads to improved
well-being and performance across all aspects of life—it's a transformation I've experienced firsthand.
Through my journey, blending evidence-based physical therapy with intuitive insights, patients dubbed me the "body whisperer."
I delved into this calling, initially hesitant but drawn by the profound
healing it offered both them and me. My work isn't just about fixing
bodies—it's about aligning time inside and outside for holistic transformation.
Your nervous system will not let you live a dull story -
but you have the power to turn the page and shift your timeline
