 BOOKINGS DJ & Live sets: chris@elitemm.co.uk Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno. Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists. The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes.     Gina Demarchi is a 28-year-old DJ artist and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has developed a unique style influenced by tribal sounds, excelling in Techno, Techno 2000, Tribal Groove , Dub Techno, and rhythmic, sensual beats. She is also a resident at Fungi (Argentina) Gina has performed at Tresor, and played in clubs like Anomalie, Loophole (Paris), Seaworld (Copenhagen) at Den Anden Side with Antigone, Mutate (Italy) with Freddy K and Rebecca Dellepiane, Mutate with Spdfj and other cool venues like About Blank, Aeden, Hor, Derbybreweryarms, Rottesonne among others. She has toured Australia and played in different clubs like Novel, Bloom, XE45 and more. In her sets, Gina merges various styles, maintaining a consistent line between groove, hardgroove, tribal, hip-hop, and dub techno. Her tracks have been recognized and played by artists such as Future 666, Marron, Yanamaste, Alberto Tolo, Justine Perry, Paula Koski, Laura van Hal, Lobster, and BW in venues like Tresor, Fusebrussels, Bret, Rote, Left Bank, Sonic Festival, and Mälor.
