In this milestone 10th episode of the Self Isolation Podcast, we take a thoughtful look back at Father’s Day — not just as a celebration, but as a conversation starter.

    We discuss:

    • The emotional weight and expectations of Father’s Day
    • The importance of active fatherhood vs. just being around
    • The overlooked voices of men who aren’t fathers — by choice or circumstance
    • Redefining masculinity and legacy beyond having children

This episode is for anyone reflecting on fatherhood — those embracing it, those missing it, and those redefining it.

    May 30 2025

Look, if you’re here for facts, fun, and a little foolishness — you made the right stop. Welcome to the Self Isolation Podcast, where we keep it real, we keep it Black, and we keep it rolling. New folks? Don’t be shy. Day-one homies? You already know what time it is.

This week, we’re taking a ride through memory lane — from LA’s golden-era airwaves to today’s streaming takeover. Remember when KDAY and Power 106 had the whole city locked in? When we had to wait for our favorite songs to hit the radio, finger on the record button like it was a mission? That was hunger. That was culture.

Then came TiVo, DVR, Redbox — all the little steps that gave us control. We talk about how tech shifted the game, how streaming flipped the script, and how we went from being just listeners and watchers… to being the content ourselves.

But it’s bigger than nostalgia — this episode is about ownership, evolution, and making sure the past teaches us how to move different. You’re not just a consumer anymore — you’re a creator, a curator, a legacy builder.

So whether you’re chilling with a Redbox memory or planning your own digital takeover, tap in. Because we’re not just talking about what was — we’re building what’s next.

    May 23 2025

On this episode of the Self Isolation Podcast, we’re breaking down the blurred lines between toxic behavior and personal growth. From the “fuck boy era” to chasing desires, I’m getting brutally honest about how I moved, what I learned, and what I lost in the process—especially when it came to women.

    •The toxic traits I leaned into—and why

•Using curiosity as a weapon or a tool

•Separating needs vs. wants (without relying on someone else to meet them)

•Building something genuine… and watching it fall apart

  • A Mother's Love
    May 23 2025

In this solo episode, Will takes a pause from the usual intensity to show love, gratitude, and raw honesty about the women who shaped him. From mothers and aunties to friends who mothered in spirit, this is a heartfelt tribute to those who loved, nurtured, and sometimes hurt us — but always left a mark on the man he’s becoming.

Will reflects on the beauty and the burden of motherhood from his observing perspective as a black man watching his mother and the others of his village:

•The love, support, and sacrifices that go unnoticed

•The pain of seeing mothers struggle with their own wounds

•The duality of being grateful while still grieving what could’ve been

•And the fear of time slipping away before your kids meet the women who helped raise your soul

This ain’t a Hallmark episode. It’s real, non low hanging fruit, and emotional. For anyone holding space for joy and sorrow on Mother’s Day — this one’s for you.

As we wrap up this special Mother’s Day episode, we hope it brought you a little comfort, a few laughs, and a reminder that even in isolation, you’re never truly alone. Whether you’re a mom, missing a mom, or simply processing the weight of this day — we’re sending you love, strength, and solidarity.

  • Adulting 202
    May 17 2025

Will and Lil Foot are back and this time, it’s not grief pulling them to the mic, it’s life.

After reuniting through loss and laughter in their debut episode, the two cousins return to the pod with a deeper dive into something no one warned them about: being the adults now. The ones who make the grocery lists, plan the funerals, send the texts first, and remembering Pops with that 5.0. Sometimes.

Will, still balancing His like as a Discharge planner and Therapist is trying to define “soft life” while still taking on everyone else’s burdens within his control of his power and making change when he has accessibility. Lil Foot, now knee-deep in art, questionable Fashion and Sneaker ideas, and even more questionable situationships, is trying to decide if brunch is a scam or a spiritual practice.

Together, they laugh through the chaos of adulthood—paying bills, setting boundaries, finding peace, losing it, then calling your cousin because you can’t afford a therapist and new engine.

    Expect:

    • Real talk about generational shifts (“We ARE Big Mama now?!?”)
    • Adulting wins and L’s (Will meal Something out of nothing , Lil Foot meal Guesses)
    • Lessons on love, legacy, and why having all juices do not means you’ve made it.

This episode is grown, grounded, and still goofy.
Because no matter how old you get, you never outgrow your people.

  • Sandbox And Bagged Lunches
    May 17 2025

After years apart, two Black Cousins—Will, the Righteous cut creative turned Opportunity creator, and Lil Foot, the no-filter, life-of-the-party ex-sneakerhead turned theorist Creative of the fine arts —find themselves reunited by the bittersweet gravity of loss. Family funerals, old mixtapes, and the smell of hot cookin in Big Mama’s house bring them back together not in grief, but in growth.

So what do they do? Start a podcast, of course. Because nothing says healing like trauma unpacked over trap beats and hot takes.

In this explosive, hilarious, and oddly therapeutic episode, Will & Lil Foot realize they're parallel opposites—like Boyz And The Hood and South Central. through the laughter, The bunk, and random tangents about soul food vs. vegan mac, these two rediscover the rhythm of their bond.

🔥 Come for the stories, stay for the debate on who really won the fight over the Mac and Cheese.
💔 They lost time, people, and a little bit of Youth (mostly Lil Foot),
❤️‍🔥 But what they gain is something louder than grief—connection.

Full circle. Fully Black. Fully funny.
Tap in. Because Growing ain't linear, but it is entertaining
