Seed in the Closet (SitC) is a unique project; we have been in production for two years. SitC began as a podcast with a distinct approach. We curated testimonials to refresh, remind, and reaffirm God's Word for some and to expose, engage, and establish who God is for others. We published these personal accounts to illustrate what it looks like in life's most difficult times: how God enables us to overcome challenges through the Blood of the Lamb and by sharing our testimonies.

Seed in the Closet, a constantly evolving project, is expanding beyond testimonials. We are now sharing prayers, affirmations, and God's word. As we continue sharing the message of hope and salvation, we no longer limit ourselves to testimonial podcasts and videos. We are now expanding to written periodicals, shorts, and reels, always ready to speak His word when God tells us to.

It’s possible to love God’s Word… and still have places where it hasn’t taken root.

In this episode of Seed in the Closet, Macretia Moody reflects on the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13 and the condition of our spiritual soil. Through the imagery of heart gardening, she explores the “rocks” (lies we believe) and “thorns” (unbelief and worldly cares) that can quietly prevent deep spiritual growth.

What happens when subtle beliefs about fairness, suffering, or self-reliance begin to choke out truth? And what does it look like to surrender those hidden stones to God?

This episode is an invitation to examine what’s beneath the surface — not with condemnation, but with grace.

Life does what life will do.
Seasons change. People come and go. Circumstances shift.

In this episode of Seed in the Closet, we continue our conversation on inheritance—not just what we receive from God, but how we live from it while life is still happening around us.

Drawing from Ecclesiastes 1:9–10 and Isaiah 43:16–21, we reflect on the reality that while life follows familiar patterns, God is always doing something new. Life may be life’n—but God is still God’n.

    This message invites us to:

    • Recognize life as something we experience, not control
    • Stop ruminating on what God has already done
    • Perceive what God is doing now
    • Live alert and present in our inheritance

As we close out this portion of the season, we also share an update about a short break before returning in late January with new episodes, videos, and guest appearances.

    Listen with an open heart.
Be mindful of the larger picture.
And remember—what’s in you is greater than what’s around you.
