The time has come to talk about one of, if not the most, highly anticipated movies of 2022. After Chadwick Boseman’s passing, it was clear he could never be replaced. And in turn, Ryan Coogler and his team have taken a reverent, nuanced approach to this follow up. Now Chris and Zach are sitting down to discuss this powerful entry in the MCU.

  • Ep. 63: The Way of the Faithful: The Rings of Power
    Nov 2 2022

We live in an internet age of absolutes. You either have to love something or you have to hate it. And in the case of Amazon’s Rings of Power series, there have been some cartoonishly harsh criticisms hurled its way. Is the show perfect? Obviously not. But it’s about the long game. The way of the faithful is committing to pay the price, even if the cost cannot be known, and trusting that, in the end, it will be worth it. And for what it’s worth, we think this show is pretty damn good.

  • Ep. 62: You’re a Class Act, Sister: Arcane
    Sep 30 2022

Magic and fantasy action? Class warfare commentary? Deep philosophical discussions on the merits of science and when it goes too far? All of that, and also a soundtrack that slaps? Sign us up. Look, we could have done our research and written a description for this episode with all kinds of League of Legends easter eggs, but the best part about Arcane is that you don’t need to know anything about LoL to enjoy it. Or to do a podcast on it. Or write an episode description.

  • Ep. 61: It’s Showtime: Better Call Saul
    Aug 30 2022

With Better Call Saul having recently come to an end, Chris and Zach sit down to discuss this fantastic series, from the amazing characters to the unforgettable plot, the masterful direction, and everything else they can think of. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould crafted one hell of a character study, giving us a spinoff every bit as good as its source material, and in some cases, maybe even better!

  • Ep. 60: Unabridged Film Observations: Nope
    Aug 19 2022

On this episode of Script or Screen, Chris and Zach go in depth on the new film Nope. It’s another Jordan Peele feature, and you know what that means: More social commentary! More nuggets of truth! More dark comedy! More moments of genuine tension! More equestrian-targeted violence? I feel like I’m getting off track a bit. Just enjoy another episode where we talk about a movie worth talking about.

  • Ep. 59: Thor and Ms. Marvel: Love and Blunder
    Aug 8 2022

Yes, it’s another Marvel double feature. No, we didn’t plan it. No, this isn’t how we’re doing it from now on. It’s not our fault that Marvel is inundating us with content with little to no room in between. Or maybe it is. After all, we’re giving them the attention. Maybe we’re the problem. Either way, Chris and Zach are here to talk about Thor: Love and Thunder and Ms. Marvel, so enjoy this two-for-one special. That’ll be $15.
