 This is a story about people in Vermont who love Lake Bomoseen and are working hard to protect it. In February 2022, the Lake Bomoseen Association petitioned the Vermont DEC for a permit to apply herbicide on approximately 600 acres of the lake over the span of three years. Thousands of folks around the lake oppose the spraying, all three town select boards oppose it, and the LBA board and Lake Bomoseen Preservation Trust still want to go ahead with the spraying.
