Über diesen Titel
In this episode, we’re diving into a topic that seems to pop up even more often than Christmas chocolates: choosing not to have children — and why that choice is every bit as valid as choosing to have them.
I’m sharing my own reasons for being happily child-free, from the practical to the personal to the “no, Karen, I’m genuinely fine, I promise.” We’ll talk about the pressure millennials face, the assumptions people make, and how exhausting it is to constantly defend a life choice that hurts no one.
I also get into why friends, family, and well-meaning relatives need to mind their business — especially during family gatherings where the questions come thick and fast — and how respecting someone’s choice is the bare minimum of loving them.
Whether you’re child-free by choice, child-free for now, or simply trying to understand someone who is, this episode is all about honesty, autonomy, and giving people the space to design a life that actually fits them.
It’s real, it’s a bit ranty (in a cute way), and it’s a reminder that boundaries are a gift — and not just at Christmas.
