  • OOKH Questions for the Usual Suspects
    Mar 7 2024

The Usual Suspects return (minus Keyser Soze) to ask questions and find answers to life's burning questions: What is the best sandwich? Why do we still listen to the old stuff? Why was Cathy late to the party? (answer: Russell gave her the wrong starting time) What do we miss about our youth in Bardstown? Have we ever taken multiple personality tests, or is that multiple, personality tests? How much did Russell actually have to edit from the raw recording and will there ever be a director's cut? And why do the three guys in the cover art all look the same? Join us as we answer these and other queries, on Our Old Kentucky Home.

  • Our Old Kentucky Home: up close and personal
    Feb 13 2024

We follow the winding roads that brought regular listeners and contributors, Beau Jameson and Robin Allen Thompson, from their old Kentucky home, to where they are now. Each will tell their own unique stories. Join us. It will be entertaining and inspiring. Pretty much the strap line for OOKH, don't you think? And we're hoping it will inspire others to follow them on the show.

  • Our Old Kentucky Home, with a little help from our friends
    Feb 3 2024

In which we learn that Beau spent an inordinate amount of time looking at Native American art in the principal's office, Robin and Cathy managed to pass off fraudulent permission slips for 7th period departures, Rebecca meets an international man of mystery, and the border wall was actually the idea of Mexico to keep Bardstown High students out during Spring Break trips to Monterrey. Yes, we're hanging out in the senior lounge, talking teachers. Join Roy, Dave and me for OOKH-Teachers Week.

  • The Night Before Christmas Wonderful Life Carol
    Dec 24 2023

I've taken over the podcast platform to plug (self-indulgently) some writing I've done. This was actually written last year, but like a Hallmark Christmas movie, there is only ever one plot. Much will be inscrutably meta, but you will recognise a couple of characters. If you enjoy it, rest assured there's plenty more in the old hard drive. If not, well, we'll be back chatting to you about Bardstown in the new year and less said the better. Merry Christmas everybody.
