  • What is My Body Trying to Tell Me with Faysal Abi
    Jul 14 2026

In this episode, Lisa and Laurea speak with Faysal Abi, a multidisciplinary bodyworker, yoga teacher, posture specialist, and founder of Stretch360 and Body Alignment and Optimization. He shares how his work focuses on helping people move better, reduce pain, and reconnect with their bodies.

They discuss his personal recovery after a car accident left him with a broken neck and traumatic brain injury. He explains how pain, depression, and repeated medical visits led him to study posture, bodywork, massage, exercise therapy, and yoga more deeply, eventually using those tools to support his own healing and later to help others.

They also talk about his view that the body already knows how to heal when obstacles are reduced. As well he describes how posture, breathing, movement, diet, relationships, and thought patterns can all affect physical and emotional well-being, and he emphasizes meeting people where they are rather than forcing a single approach.

They explore how Faysal works with clients, including his eight-week program, his focus on retraining the brain through movement, and his practical way of looking for root causes of pain. He shares examples of working with neck pain, low back issues, and acute back problems, and he explains why he often chooses not to work with someone if the timing or mindset does not feel right.

Lastly, they also discuss his interest in intuition, emotional processing, and the connection between body and mind. Faysal speaks about working with animals, keeping a grounded approach with clients, and his interest in dream work, which he says he is still studying and not yet ready to teach publicly.

  • Exploring Triggers and Nervous System Through NLP
    Jul 7 2026

In this episode Laurea talks with Lisa about her recent work in neuro-linguistic programming, or NLP, and how she has been exploring it over the course of several months of training.

They discuss the basic idea behind NLP as a way of understanding how humans take in information, store it unconsciously, and develop patterns that can affect reactions and habits. We talk about the unconscious mind as something that tries to keep us safe, even when its responses are not always helpful.

They also focus on how patterns can show up in daily life, such as strong reactions to familiar triggers, anxiety around meetings, or the “Sunday scaries.” Lisa explains that the work often involves noticing a feeling, identifying the state we want instead, and helping the nervous system shift out of the unwanted response.

They cover how this process does not always require knowing the exact origin of a pattern. Lisa explains that, depending on the method, the work can begin with the current feeling and let the unconscious mind guide the process, whether the material comes from early life, the womb, or another point on a personal timeline.

Laurea and Lisa end by discussing the importance of support, safety, and working with trained help rather than doing deep inner work alone. They emphasize that healing is not linear, that change happens at the speed of safety, and that people do not have to do this work by themselves.

    HIGHLIGHTS:

    6:10 Triggers and Patterns

    12:49 How Behaviors Get Reinforced

    18:19 Clearing the Root Cause

    24:24 Womb and Lineage

  • Counting the Cost
    Jun 30 2026

Lisa and Laurea talk about “counting the cost” when making difficult choices and considering what a decision may affect emotionally, mentally, spiritually, financially, and in relationships. Laurea also reflects on a recent period when she shared personal struggles publicly, including the fear, shame, self-doubt, and mixed reactions that came with being visible online.

They discuss the tension between openness and privacy, and how social media can make internal struggles feel more exposed. Also, they talk about truth-telling, authenticity, and old beliefs about worthiness and shame that can continue to shape how we see ourselves.

Laurea closes by sharing that she's doing better now and relying on support from therapy, friends, and other practitioners and broadens the idea of counting the cost to other major life decisions, including relationships and big moves, and notes that the hardest choice is not always the wrong one.

    HIGHLIGHTS:

    8:11 Truth Over Shame

    15:48 Checking In

    26:37 Brave Choices

    32:53 Worth the Move
