Joe and Maggie Buckner try to keep Maggie's Parents' farm from declining. After Joe witnesses his neighbor's death, he tries to deal with this the best he can as trouble unexpectedly comes to him.

Chris Buckner befriends Aaron Dean in school. These boys find themselves in troublesome ways, which leads them into run-ins with the law and bullies at school. Maddison Buckner gets a visit from an older friend she wishes never to see again—or does she? Joe Buckner's past begins to catch up to him as he is forced to bring his violent ways to the forefront once again.

In episode 3, the final part of the pilot episode, Joe Buckner desperately tries to hide the body and marijuana plants from his property. Maddison finds herself in a hell of a situation when her brother shows up on her front doorstep. She must deal with her need to drink, as this could become costly at work. Chris finds himself in a tight spot with the law, and the truth about the missing children becomes a reality for this family.

A preview of my 2nd TV series pilot. Sacred Lives is a story about the father of a massive school shooter who comes to learn over 20-something years later that his son was framed in the crime, so this burnt-out ex-sheriff decides to embark on a dangerous mission of his own to find his son's true killer.

In part 1 of the Sacred Lives pilot episode, set in 1999, we meet Sheriff Johnston Pope. When a topical day in this small town becomes concerning, he and his deputy investigate what they believe could develop into something deranged.

Part 2 of Sacred Lives starts with Johnston and Boone in the garage investigating. This leads them to other clues, and they find themselves on a farm surrounded by a field of dead sheep. Johnston then gets a call from the CB that shots were fired at Brown High School. Johnston and Boone race to the school, where Johnston's biggest nightmare becomes a reality.

Part 3 of Sacred Lives starts in the present day. Johnston Pope is now much older, greying, fat, and a heavy drinker. He is being interviewed about the school shooting for a podcast a college student is making. Johnston leaves his apartment at night to clear his mind when a dark figure follows. Mistakingly, he finds himself in front of Venessa Crabs as he evades this presence. Invented by Venessa's Mother, Johnston finds himself speaking to Venessa once again as she tells him what happened that horrible day and ignites a fire inside Johnston to find his son's true killer.
