Today is Valentine's Day and I wanted to kick off my first podcast episode about my off grid journey, which is pretty sad and pathetic.
I started my off grid journey with my partner in 2019, right when Covid was hitting America. Everything was in such a turmoil, we felt it was an excellent time to buy property and start homesteading, with all of the uncertainty in America and the world.
We struggled quite a bit with broken down solar power equipment, having to haul water, and dealing with a hot summer. But we made it through, until we broke up.
My ex left the property abruptly which left me to fend for myself. It was pretty rough as I lived in a converted 9x12 shed that wasn't insulated, nor did it have running water. I managed to survive for the better part of the year, but then I pretty much went broke and had to leave the property in pursuit of an income. Now that I am making decent money and am selling of parcels of my property, I have a good shot to save up money, pay off debt, and move back to my land. I miss it so much!
Enjoy listening to my journey and please subscribe as I will be releasing more podcasts about off grid living, homesteading, and survival every week!
