    Studies show most couples wait an average of six years or longer before seeking help, and the majority who do see their relationship improve.

    Dr. Blendine Hawkins, Chaminade’s director of the Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy Program, says just like preventative medicine, marriage therapy can prevent possible challenges later on in a relationship.
