Week 2 in our Messenger series focuses on the truth that God is the sovereign Judge and Savior of the universe. Our proper response to God’s judgment is repentance, which is a means to the restoring and healing power of God.

In Week One of our Messenger series in the book of Hosea we discover the main point of the text is God's persistent love for His faithless Wife, Israel. Through a unique calling of God on Hosea we see a true husband longs for his faithless wife to return home, and as such, God longs to receive His people back to Him, if only they would be faithful.

This sermon from Isaiah 43:18-19 explores how God calls us to shift our focus from the past to the new things He is doing right now. While we honor what God has done, we cannot live anchored to yesterday's miracles and miss today's movement. God promises to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert—provision where nothing seems possible. This new work requires us to trust Him with our next step, and not demand the full map. True transformation comes not from a new calendar or better intentions, but from being made new in Christ.

It all leads to this. The manger. The child. The Word made flesh. On Christmas Eve, we step into the heart of the story: Immanuel, God with us. In a dark and broken world, Jesus is the light that shines. The incarnation changes everything. God did not stay distant; He drew near. He chose to enter our humanity, not as a conquering king, but as a vulnerable baby. Heaven came down and met earth in the most unexpected way.

Tonight, we remember that Christmas is not just about a moment in history, it is about a Savior who still steps into our lives, bringing hope where there is despair, peace where there is chaos, and joy where there is sorrow.
