Über diesen Titel

If you're like me, there was a time when everything seemed to be going just fine. Until it wasn't. I don't know what it's been for you. Maybe a divorce. Sickness. Rejection. Addiction. Abuse. Bankruptcy. Loss. Whatever it is, I know it has you asking, "Can my life ever be good again?" But what if I told you that your place of trouble is also the place where hope is found? I know it doesn't make sense but from what I've seen, it's how God does things. And that means you're not stuck – and you're not staying here. He's the One who says, "I will...transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope." (Hosea 2:15) In His hands, things are going to be more than okay. You are going to be more than fine. • 233. A Life of Presence, Not Performance
    Sep 3 2025

When we're wounded in life, we often start to "perform" for love and approval. But when what we do on the outside is rooted in pain, we will always end up with results that are not what we really want.

In this episode, I share how pain and woundedness impair the way we relate to others, particularly as it relates to God's design for femininity and masculinity. But I also talk about how, through pain, we learn much about what it is to stop performing and be truly present, and the life-giving invitation to others that our lives become in the process.

  • 232. When You Forgive (But Still Feel Angry)
    Aug 27 2025

Anger is one of the more complicated emotions we have to deal with. Not only does it not feel great, but sometimes it seems to remain- even after you've done the work to forgive someone.

In this episode, I share about an experience that caused me to realize that something deeper is often hidden inside of our anger. I also share how thinking differently about your wounds can give you the patience and perspective you need to actually benefit in the aftermath.

  • 231. Yes, God Wants to Help You with THAT.
    Aug 20 2025

When it comes to the things we struggle with in life, sometimes we think they are too small for God to care about. Other times, we think they are so big that maybe we are just supposed to learn to take care of things on our own.

Neither of those things are true.

In today's episode, I share about a very small example of what it looks like to fully depend on God, and how it changes the way we look at challenges in life, both big and small.
