  • Better Days are Within Reach
    Sep 27 2022

Welcome to the very first episode of More Better Days. This is a podcast about learning how to thrive alongside chronic illness. To kick off the whole podcast, I’m going to use this first episode to tell you about me, my mission, and how mindbody resilience work can impact your life.

While each of our bodies and experiences are different, I’ve found some universal wisdoms about healing that everyone can benefit from.

    1. Well-being isn’t a destination. It’s a full journey of a lifetime.
    2. Your mind can serve as your greatest ally or your biggest roadblock in your healing journey.
    3. Chronic disease and healing don’t exist in a bubble. Every element of life influences our experience.
    4. Have the courage to own your shit and take responsibility.

True healing happens when we acknowledge the complexity of the mind-body system and how it’s tied to the complexity of being human. Once you start seeing the results of mind-body coaching in relation to chronic illness, you’ll have more time, energy, and motivation to build the life you’ve been dreaming of.

What does living a vibrant and fulfilling life mean to you? Take a moment to envision yourself taking the steps to create momentum in your wellness journey. How would your life look and feel different from how it is now?

  • Climbing Out Of The Darkness
    Sep 27 2022

Today we’re really going to dive in, my friend. I want to talk to you about what it means to start taking responsibility for the role you play in your own suffering, and how mindbody resilience work is an act of love and compassion toward ourselves. I’m going to get really vulnerable and share about one of my lowest points in my journey, how I pulled myself out of the darkness, and how it was the catalyst to me learning how to thrive.

We’ll talk about cultivating self awareness, and the number one mindset that often sneaks into our minds and gets in the way of accessing our empowerment. That’s right, we’re gonna talk about victim mentality, what it is, what it is not, and destigmatize it.

I’ll give you tips on how to identify when victim mentality has snuck into your perspective on chronic illness, and give you an exercise you can use as the first step to letting it go. Note: this episode includes a discussion about suicide ideation.

Your assignment for this week is to take the role of the watcher. Become a non judgemental observer of your thoughts and feelings. Notice them, acknowledge them, then let them pass.
