Welcome to what will be the home of the Makings of Madness podcast. A podcast about creative people and what drives them.

My name is Rae O’Neil. I’m an IT worker, a maker, a cosplayer, a failed animation student and an all around nerd. But what I love the most is seeing the wonderful things people craft, design, draw, paint, build, you name it. Creativity and making it manifest is one of the most beautiful and important things people can do.

I’ve always been fascinated with what drives other creative people to make stuff. What allows them to invest time and passion, to practise and improve their craft. To bring into the world something they wanted, either for fun, expression, appreciation, or profit.

My plan for this podcast is to bring in creative people and ask them questions about all that, as well as let us get to know them better. Allow them to talk about what they love, what drives their work, and anything else they feel important to share. Of course we’ll have some fun as well.

I hope you can join me on this journey to meet and hopefully even draw inspiration from wonderful creatives around the world.
