After a strong start to Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2, we hit our first speedbump. This episode might be the weakest in the series so far. The Scoobies feel like they’ve been replaced by pod people, and everything just feels “off.” Xander reverts to his Season One antics, Cordelia seems to be suffering from some kind of head trauma, and (in what passes for a “bright spot” in this dismal affair) we meet a new fan favorite character… though you’d never be able to tell from how he’s introduced.
