    Marcie Rendon founded Raving Native Productions theater. Along with various plays, screenplays, poems and short stories, she has written two nonfiction books for children, and three crime fiction novels. Her first novel Murder on the Red River won the 2018 Pinckley Prize for Debut Crime Fiction. Her second novel Girl Gone Missing was shortlisted for the 2020 G. P. Putnam's Sons Sue Grafton Memorial Award. Her most successful theatre work to date is "Free Frybread Telethon", a play which satirizes the American prison system and its treatment of Native Americans.

  • Ariel Arts with Josie Hoffman

    Josie Hoffman is an interdisciplinary artist driven by movement, the constant element of expression in their art practice. This movement flows through different formats, including 2D and 3D visual art, body movement, and performance. Their art flows through thoughts of environment, body politics, mental health, community, family, and cultural history. Depending on what the artwork calls for, sometimes natural materials, recycled materials, dance, digital media, or aerial arts, they incorporate reflections of land, water, and identity. Josie is a Grand Portage Ojibwe Direct Descendent with mixed European ancestry. She resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a program coordinator for the Native Youth Arts Collective in Minneapolis at Little Earth. She practices and teaches aerial arts at multiple studios in the Twin Cities. Josephine holds a BFA in Fine Arts Studio and a Teaching Artist Minor from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. In 2022, she was awarded the First People's Fund Business in Leadership Fellowship. In 2023, she was awarded a Minnesota State Arts Board grant and is a 23'-24' Emerging Curators Institute Fellow.
