A single Bible word can flip an entire debate on its head: seed. We follow Paul’s argument from Genesis through Galatians and Romans and ask what happens if the promise to Abraham was always pointing to one Person, Jesus Christ, rather than to ethnicity, nationalism, or modern borders. If you’ve ever wondered how Christians should think about the promised land, covenant blessings, and the phrase “chosen people,” this conversation aims straight at the texts that shape the answer.

We take on a direct question many believers feel pressure around: does Scripture command unconditional political, financial, or military support for the modern state of Israel? From there, we slow down and define the kingdom of God the way the New Testament defines it: not a territorial project, but a spiritual reality entered through new birth, marked by righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Spirit, and grounded in redemption and forgiveness of sins. Along the way we weigh “everlasting” promise language against the Bible’s own covenant conditions, and we talk about why the old covenant pattern of taking land by force doesn’t describe how God is working in this era.

We also connect big historical and theological dots, including the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D., the end of sacrifices, and the New Covenant claim that believers are now God’s temple. And we hold two truths together from Romans 11: God has not forgotten the Jewish people, and salvation comes through Christ alone. We close with a simple prayer for anyone who wants to come to the Father through Jesus today.

  • Israel and the Church - Part 3 - Grace Alone or Jesus Plus?

The fastest way to lose the heart of Christianity is to add something to it. In this teaching from our Israel and the church study, we walk through Paul’s letter to the Galatians and face a question that still divides believers today: are covenant blessings tied to ethnic descent and religious practice, or to faith in Jesus Christ?

We revisit the pressure the Galatian churches faced from Judaizers who taught that Christians must obey the law of Moses, especially circumcision, to be truly saved. Paul’s response is intense because the stakes are huge. He contrasts grace with law, shows why “another gospel” isn’t an upgrade but a distortion, and even calls out hypocrisy when Peter’s behavior implies Gentile believers are second class. Along the way, we tie Paul’s argument to the modern temptation to live by “Jesus plus” through religious identity, labels, and ritual requirements.

Then we slow down in Galatians 3 and 4 where Paul defines Abraham’s heirs. The promise comes through Abraham’s seed, singular, meaning Christ, and everyone who belongs to Christ becomes Abraham’s seed and an heir. That truth reshapes how we think about Israel and the church, Christian unity, and spiritual freedom. We also talk honestly about how believers can drift back into “weak and worthless principles” by elevating special days, seasons, and shadows above the living Savior.

If you’ve felt pressured to prove yourself to God, this message points you back to the gospel of grace and the freedom it brings. Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review telling us what part challenged you most.

  • Israel and the Church - Part 2 - Faith vs. Lineage - Who Are the Chosen?
    Jun 4 2026

A single Bible verse can turn into a slogan, and slogans can quietly replace careful reading. When Christians say, “Bless Israel and you’ll be blessed,” what do we mean and who did God mean it for? That question sits under a lot of today’s arguments about Israel and the Church, Christian Zionism, dispensationalism, and the pressure believers feel as the Middle East war dominates headlines.

We revisit the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 12 and then follow the New Testament’s own interpretive trail, especially the Pauline revelation. We talk through why Paul insists his gospel comes by revelation from Jesus Christ, and how that reshapes the way we understand covenant, kingdom language, and the people of God. Along the way we look at Jesus’ answer in Acts 1, where he redirects the disciples from questions about restoring the kingdom to Israel toward Spirit-empowered witness to the ends of the earth.

Romans becomes our roadmap: sin and the universal need for salvation (Romans 3), justification by faith rather than lineage (Romans 4), honoring Israel’s unique legacy without making ethnicity a guarantee (Romans 9), and the olive tree image where branches are broken off through unbelief and grafted in through faith (Romans 11). We also sit with the hard clarity of John 8, where Jesus challenges the assumption that ancestry equals sonship. The takeaway is both humbling and hopeful: God’s grace is for all, and every person comes to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
