  • Black History Month Finale: Chosen for a Purpose - Our Past, Present and Future
    Feb 24 2026

In this powerful and prophetic final episode of Living in the Spirit, we close out Black History Month by diving deep into the identity and calling found in First Epistle of Peter 2:9 — “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people.”

This episode takes you on a Spirit-led journey through our past, our present, and our future:

Where We’ve Been – Reflecting on the faith, resilience, and spiritual strength of our ancestors who endured slavery, oppression, and injustice, yet remained anchored in God. Honoring voices like Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and Sojourner Truth who walked in divine purpose.

Where We Are Now – Examining the current state of our communities and the continued call to live as a “royal priesthood,” standing for justice, truth, and spiritual integrity in today’s world, inspired by leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Fannie Lou Hamer.

The Future We Must Create – Casting vision for a “blessed history” we are called to build—through faith, action, unity, and purpose. This is a charge to not just remember history, but to actively shape it.

This episode is more than a reflection—it’s a call to action. You are chosen. You are called. And the story is still being written.

Listen, be inspired, and step boldly into your purpose.

  • Black History Month Series: The Black Church a Living Monument, Episode 3
    Feb 19 2026

In this powerful episode of Living in the Spirit, we explore the sacred connection between Black History and the Black Church - and why memory itself is spiritual work.

From hush harbors during slavery to the Civil Rights Movement, the Black Church has been more than a place of worship. It has been a keeper of memory, a preserver of truth, and a prophetic voice in America.

As public debates continue around the removal and restoration of monuments honoring Black leaders and civil rights history, this episode asks a deeper question:

Who gets remembered - and why does it matter?

    We discuss:

    • The Black church as a living monument
    • The spiritual danger of historical erasure
    • The prophetic role of the church in times of political tension
    • How to respond in faith when history is contested
    • What it truly means to live in the Spirit while protecting legacy

This episode is not about partianship - its about truth, dignity, and spiritual responsibility.

If you believe faith and justice belong in the same conversation, this episode is for you.

    Listen. Reflect. Share

Because memory is sacred - and the story must be told.
