  • 14 Closer to the stars - how living off grid helps space exploration
    Oct 19 2025

Living in space requires you to live off the grid. So, living off the grid aids in efforts to go and colonize space, the moon, mars, and even interstellar space. Living off the grid efforts in isolation management, resource management, and renewable energy; all aid in space colonization efforts. For example, harnessing energy, food and water; while off the grid, are all necessary tasks in space. Water is difficult to take to space. So, collecting it and processing it, in other places away from earth is necessary. This is a task that is advanced by off-gridders in their own way. Food production using off grid methods aid both the off gridder on earth, and the astronauts on voyages to space. There, food must be produced away from large farms and land on earth, just like food production occurs in some balconies and indoor rooms in off grid living. The most valuable contribution by off gridders, to space exploration, is the drive to live and thrive independent of large networks. The systems and methods used by off-gridders; are and will continue to be valuable resources for space exploration.

  • 13 Catastrophes - part 2 - Financial collapse, mega disasters and natural catastrophes
    Oct 16 2025

Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Here I continue to discuss catastrophes and how living off the grid can help you through them, survive them, help others and emerge from them. Financial collapses, mega earthquakes, mega storms, mega EMPs, mega volcanoes, and Chicxulub type asteroid impacts are discussed. And, it is briefly explained how living off the grid helps before, during, and after those events. Again, catastrophes are much more disruptive than crises. They are generally devastating. And, living off the grid helps you prepare by living away from grid connected services; having off grid tech at the ready; and having supplies and resources in stock. Finally, the structures, technologies, and methods for off grid living, will also help the off gridder survive and thrive during and after a catastrophe.Living Off the Grid in the City Podcasthttps://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechhttps://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechbyronhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552559207892https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyWqApEqGtc6nd-_C6bkiKnMxLBg7DfgKhttps://rumble.com/c/c-5079280https://www.bitchute.com/channel/1yG6vacOmMN7Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/hectorvladimirSubstack page: https://hectorvladimir.substack.com/For information purposes only. Oct 15 2025

Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Here I discuss catastrophes and how living off the grid can help you through them, survive them, help others and emerge from them. Catastrophes are much more disruptive than crises. They are generally devastating. So here I discuss events with major consequences like earthquakes, volcanic events, asteroids, and war. Each catastrophy has its own traits and challenges. Living off the grid helps you prepare for living away from grid connected services. And these are the most vulnerable to catastrophes. The structures, technologies, and methods for off grid living, will also help the off gridder survive and thrive during and after a catastrophy.Living Off the Grid in the City Podcasthttps://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechhttps://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechbyronhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552559207892https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyWqApEqGtc6nd-_C6bkiKnMxLBg7DfgKhttps://rumble.com/c/c-5079280https://www.bitchute.com/channel/1yG6vacOmMN7Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/hectorvladimirSubstack page: https://hectorvladimir.substack.com/For information purposes only. • Preparedness - climate crisis - part 1
    Sep 3 2025

Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Here I discuss the preparedness advantages for off-gridders when it comes to the climate crisis. It is well documented that many climate events are made worse by the human-caused global warming. Storms are apparently increasing in severity and regularity. They can bring crises to an area, and knock out many grid connected services. It may be convenient, even vital, to be off the grid ahead of a storm. Here I explain why. Likewise, floods are apparently increasing in severity and regularity. They can bring destruction to your area, and disable many grid connected services. It may be advantageous, even vital, to be off the grid ahead of a flood. Here I explain why. Also, droughts are apparently increasing in severity and regularity. They can bring scarcity to your area, and affect many grid connected services, like food distribution. It may be best to be off the grid ahead of a drought. Here I explain why. And, heatwaves are likely increasing in severity and regularity. They can bring disruptions to your area and disable many grid connected services, like power. It may be critical to be off the grid ahead of a heatwave. Here I explain why.Hector Vladimir 2023, 2025©https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyWqApEqGtc6nd-_C6bkiKnMxLBg7DfgKhttp://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechhttps://www.youtube.com/@HBCSolarPVTechByronPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/hectorvladimirSubstack: https://hectorvladimir.substack.com/

  • Preparedness - social and political crises
    Sep 1 2025

10 Preparedness - Social crisis. Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Preparedness. Social and political crises. Living off the grid helps you avoid or lessen the effects of crises. Human caused crises include social and political. Social crises involve unrest and dissatisfaction, which may devolve into widespread and violent protests. Political crisis may be triggered by government corruption, authoritarianism, despotism, and abuse. Or, popular outrage and dissatisfaction with the government. These, may trigger widespread protests and disruptions. All crises may disrupt, or stop, vital goods and services in your area. Living efficiently and having off grid goods and services available to you; may allow you to avoid the ill effects of crises. Here’s how.

  • Freedom of movement, employment, and privacy
    Aug 25 2025

09 Freedom of movement, employment and privacy. Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Freedom of movement, employment, and privacy. Here I discuss the freedom of movement. The ability for people to migrate from one place to another should not be curtailed. If you limit any other animal’s movement, such as fencing them in, you will surely harm their ability to survive on their own. Likewise, people need the ability to move away from harm and scarcity, and into safer and resourceful areas. To go against this logic is to make people suffer unnecessarily. An example of this is the situation in Gaza. People also need to be able to work voluntarily, not forced. Forced labor is equal to slavery. Paid forced labor, for example, is recognized as waged slavery. Living off the grid better situates individuals to resist forced employment and make it an optional choice. Under our economic system, employment is practically an obligation, not an option. And, this is barbaric and despotic. Lastly, I discuss in depth the importance of privacy. Privacy is your right to remain anonymous under normal circumstances. It is your right to be left alone, and not surveilled by anyone or any system. It is harmful to most people to be constantly surveilled and controlled by an entity. As the entity doing the surveilling, has the power to control, manipulate you, or even harm you. Abuses to privacy are many, and here I discuss its implications and the advantages of remaining private.

  • Peace and freedom - part 3
    Aug 21 2025

Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Freedom of expression, pursuit of happiness, and financial freedom. Here I discuss the importance of freedom of expression in the context of living off grid. You must ensure that your environment affords you freedom to express yourself, so that you are able to openly live off grid. And, if that freedom is not afforded, you may take steps to change that situation. Petitioning, demanding, and moving away; are a few options. Alternatively, you may find clever ways to live off the grid anyway. The pursuit of happiness is another right you may invoke to live off the grid. You may not be forced to live a certain way, thus you may choose to live off grid freely. At least you should be able to make this choice. I understand that many around you may not agree with living off grid, and may try to stop you. But, this is against human and constitutional rights. You may be financially free by extension of living off grid. Your higher knowledge, self-sufficiency, and income potential may allow you to be wealthy, or not need much money. Some may not need money at all.Hector Vladimir 2023-2025©https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyWqApEqGtc6nd-_C6bkiKnMxLBg7DfgKhttp://www.youtube.com/@hbcsolarpvtechhttps://www.youtube.com/@HBCSolarPVTechByronPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/hectorvladimirSubstack: https://hectorvladimir.substack.com/

  • Peace and freedom - part 2 - simplify your life and end war over resources
    Aug 13 2025

Living Off the Grid in the City Podcast. Peace and freedom – part 2. Simplify your life. Here I discuss how you get freedom of choice by your efforts to live off the grid. Choice is a freedom you must have to be successful in many of your off grid endeavors freely and openly. If these freedoms to choose have been curtailed in your area, for whatever reason, you must be creative and resourceful to get around many restrictions. Even here in the US many off grid choices have been limited, especially in large cities. For example, the choices to disconnect, collect water, and grow food; have been challenged repeatedly. Here, I also discuss how living off grid allows you to contribute to world peace and, end violent conflicts over resources.
