We can no longer afford to keep pretending and hiding behind the mask of perfection and over spirituality at the expense of our salvation and the salvation of others. There's a lot at stake when we play church. This is a reminder for us Christians to be intentional about our work with God and seek to please Him and Him alone. In today's episode, I have an amazing guest with me in the person of Gladys Osofisan. She joined me on this first episode, and we discussed walking with God in the new year. There's no telling that some of us walk into the new year uncertain and filled with anxiety or fear. Sometimes, this fear cripples us to the point that we lose hope. But if you pray, plan and commit your plans to God, He will perfect order your steps and perfect your plans. But in all honesty, sometimes life happens. Expectations become unrealized, disappointments happen, in place of gain you experience a loss and the list is endless. I'm here to remind you that God is not done with you yet.     It's tempting to focus on the pain associated with the challenge we're in. With so much focus on the pain comes the temptation to give up, and the dampening of our faith. I've come to learn that the ammunition you need to fight through any pain is to shift focus from the pain and focus on Jesus and on His word. The word of God gives strength, courage, and it brings peace. I share a few encouraging scriptures to help shift your focus from the pain to the truth of God's word. As you walk into a new month, I pray that you find strength and courage in the word of God and I pray that God reveals Himself to you in a whole new way. Happy New month!

    Rejection of any kind hurts. As humans, we desire inclusion and acceptance so any semblance of rejection often comes with some level of pain. Jesus faced the most rejection by His family, community, even His disciples. He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, denied 3 times by Peter, and even felt rejected by God. But in all these, Jesus never allowed those experiences deter him from His purpose. He stayed focused on His assignment till the end.

    I hope you feel encouraged by this episode to find purpose in the rejection you face. Don't let it deter you, rather let is serve as a springboard to your growth and purpose.
